This is the most exciting part of the entire process. Building drums is half the fun: the collaborative aspect is where the real magic happens. Quite often discoveries and realizations are made simply by asking, "What do you think?" This is more than picking out colors, don't worry we do that too: but we want to know everything. We ask you a very specific set of questions to tailor a special blend just for you.

We work tirelessly to make sure we procure the most desirable materials nature, and science has to offer. Each and every component serves a purpose to better the overall function of each instrument we craft. The build process is choreographed chaos; requiring tremendous skill and precision.
American Made is diluted, although we use materials from around the world, we are happy to be hand making these drums in Los Angeles, CA. The costs of building in the states is higher, however it just feels right. We pride ourselves in manufacturing our ply shells in house, this step is the game changer, each shell is a work of art.
There are no order numbers or bar codes: simply a name, and design notes. This is done purposely to keep you in mind every step of the way.
